Bulmer and Lumb process an extensive range of natural and synthetic
fibres for sale to spinners and for our own consumption.
Raw Materials
The first stage of production at Bulmer & Lumb is top dyeing. These are 10 kilo packages (bumps) of either wool, natural or synthetic fibres,
which have previously been scoured, carded and combed/converted into a coiled sliver.
We use a huge variety of wool types, dependent upon the end product. Our wool is sourced from the major sheep rearing areas of Australia,
South Africa, South America and the UK. We work in close co-operation with our suppliers who understand our requirements and anticipate
our needs, just as we anticipate the needs of our customers.
