At their recent AGM , held during the "Day of Celebration" in York, The Society of Dyers & Colourists made three new appointments to their Board of Trustees. This included Bulmer & Lumb's Technical Director, Paul Hamilton, who has been a member of the SDC since 1990.
Beginning his career with Bulmer & Lumb Group in 1985, Paul was appointed Technical Director in 2013 and has worked closely alongside the SDC to develop & establish the Textile Colouration Certificate qualification. The reintroduction of a relevant techincal colouration course has been of great benefit to both Bulmer & Lumb's trainees and those throughout the UK, creating a stepping stone to the ASDC qualification.
The SDC is an educational charity & professional chartered society which has educated & represented members of the industry for the last 125 years.
